uscman No American artist could write a song with such haunting lyrics. Aside from the kick-ass Red Hot Chili Peppers, there are really no other US bands I want to blast from my car. The Cure, Smiths, Joy Divisioin, Oasis, and Sioxsie - their lyircs are a couple of quanta leaps above US groups. Maybe it's becuse of the eudcational system, who knows. A guy just wanted to know which bands the Banshees had an influence on and I was just one of the many people who replied suggesting those bands, because those are all female and cite Siouxsie as one of their influences on their work.
